Happy Tuesday! This week's Tuesday Tip is to buy yourself a small rice cooker!
I got this little rice cooker from my aunt when I was in college. Little did I know, this little contraption is the best thing for making smaller portions of food easily. I usually make Mac and cheese in the rice cooker but you can make soup, veggies, desserts, and of course, rice! It might not be the best portion for a big family, but for two this works great to make a side dish! Or you can make the perfect amount of Mac and cheese for yourself, either way, buy yourself one of these little contraptions. I love mine!

Hey friends! I love sharing finds with you and I decided I should share it here with you and start a new segment, Sharin’ Saturday! I plan to highlight one piece of clothing, accessory, shoe, etc. I want to talk about different ways to style these items and talk about if these items are worth the price.
I will still do WTWW! I love WTWW and being able to put together a whole look, but I want to highlight items that could be staples and share favorites that save you money and help you to find things that you love. I want to share things that are affordable and that you are likely to purchase. There are a lot of people who blog, but I am hoping to share more affordable items and great finds for my curvy friends. I want to be honest and share my real opinions with you. This week I am highlighting my new Platform Sneakers from Walmart! At $15 these little shoes are a steal!I got them on sale and only paid $9! They are a great shoe that will pair so well with sweaters for this fall/winter. These shoes give you just a little bit of height and they have a memory foam footbed, which makes them so comfy! These are suede, so you should not wear them in the rain, but you could buy some protectant to put on them to help preserve the shoes. I think that these are a hot buy and you will really enjoy styling these shoes. I chose the taupe color, so they will go with a ton and they are the perfect shoe when you want a little height and something that can be dressed up or down. I think that these pair well with your favorite jeans or jeggings and a sweater. You could also take the more casual route and pair them with your favorite leggings. However you pair them, your outfit will look great! As always, this can be seen in Instagram Stories! Walmart Platform Sneakers ( I sized down a half size) For a while now I have been sharing a Tuesday Tip on my Instagram, but I haven't been sharing it here! I usually share a piece of advice, a product that I am loving, and really anything in between. I feel like this is a fun place for me to share a little more about myself and connect and ask questions. Today's Tuesday Tip should probably be something about voting, but I hope that you've already done that! This year I early voted, and it was great I highly recommend. Today, I'm telling you to get lunch with that friend that you haven't seen since the virus. Reach out to the friend that is going through a rough patch or that you simply haven't talked to in a while. Call or visit your grandma. You really need to visit your grandma. Whoever it is that you haven't talked to in a while, reach out. You might feel rejected, they might not ever text you back.... and that's okay. I have been there. Just try. It might be the best thing for you and you might reconnect or catch up with someone and it will make all the difference. I think in this time of social distancing we have been clinging tighter to the people right here around us, but we have been neglecting those that we don't always see or talk to. I think part of this can be blamed on the virus, but it's also part of growing up and growing apart. You choose who you want in your life and at what capacity. People come and go in the different seasons of life, and that is okay. It happens to all of us. Sometimes the hard part is accepting that, and moving forward. So today my tip is: just try. I caught up with one of my besties from college! She might live two hours away, but we had the best time catching up and seeing each other! I can't wait to do it again soon!
If you're curvy like me, it is hard to find clothing that fits great, and that means shorts are hard to find when summer comes around! I decided to make a list of some plus sized shorts that have been working for me. Hopefully this list will help you to feel more confident wearing shorts this summer! I also want to point out I am wearing different sizes in these shorts! My body didn't change between these try ons! Sizing is whack and that number does not define you! Just find some shorts that fit well, it does't matter what little number they say!
I hope you guys enjoyed this curvy girl shorts guide! If you liked this, let me know! I'd like to put more things like this together soon!
As always, check out my Instagram stories for this try on! Hey friends! A couple of weeks ago I shared a different way to wear your blanket scarf, so I decided to share a post with a couple of inspiration pictures so you can have a couple more ways to wear your blanket scarves, yay!
