Hey Party People!
Today I'm sharing some images from Becca's grad session! I actually went to high school with Becca! It was great to catch up and hear about all of the exciting things she's up to! She's going to be the best teacher! Pictures taken on the grounds of The University of Virginia

It was fun taking pictures of Braden and Evie before their prom! They were naturals in front of the camera!
Hey Party People! It's been a hot minute since I have shared my work here! I am going to get better about it!
I actually went to high school with Tyler so it was fun to catch up and capture her closing out this season. I'm excited for her and her future and I know she will do great things! I hope you enjoy these pictures of her on the George Mason campus! Hey friends! I have a fun DIY for you! I saw these little plastic pumpkins and I thought painting them would really elevate their look. I LOVE fall, I’m not usually a big fan of Halloween, but I thought these were too cute.
What You’ll Need: Plastic Pumpkins- I found these at the local Walmart. Large Pumpkin, Small Pumpkin Paint- I used white chalk paint. It’s what I had at home. Paint brush All-Purpose Flour Paper Plate Cardboard box/ something to paint on So what did I do? I removed the light out of the back of each pumpkin. I painted my pumpkins with two coats of chalk paint. I think this was a good and consistent look. I painted on a cardboard box to protect my table. I started out painting around the eyes and mouth. Once everything was dry, I decided to add some texture to my pumpkin. I added a little bit of all-purpose flour to the paint to make a paste with the flour. I painted one more coat on the pumpkins to get this cool texture. I let the pumpkins dry, added the lights back in and styled them on my porch. This was around $20 and I will be able to use them from year to year! I think they turned out great! Happy Sharin' Saturday! Today I am sharing this cute and dainty Kendra Scott necklace! I got this half price for my birthday! I think this necklace is lightweight and goes with so much! Even though it is a two stranded necklace, it doesn't get tangled like you might think it would. This necklace might be just what you're looking for! Hope you enjoyed this share. I will be back with another product soon!
Oh man do I love me some jewelry! I love the necklace stacking trend but I always find myself with tangled up necklaces. I found this little shop on Instagram that had the perfect product to stop that tangling! I got a couple of pieces from them for Christmas and this little layering clasp is THE best! It makes it so easy to stack necklaces and they don't get tangled! This little gem is less than $20 and so worth it! I've shared a closer look in my stories on Instagram so you can see how it works for me! This clasp holds two necklaces and is a must have if you are trying to accomplish that layering necklace look!
Happy Tuesday! Today's tip is pretty simple, make things your own. One of my goals for 2021 is to make our house more of a home. When I say that, I want to make our space feel cozy and have finishes that I love. I'm not saying this has to cost a ton of money or all be done at once. Deciding to do one small project to improve your space is a win for me! My goal is to rework some of the most loved areas in my home to reflect me.
To start off, I decided to change the handle pulls in the kitchen. I really love the change! I have three little projects that I want to complete in the kitchen just to make it a little more me! I started off with a project that if I didn't love how it looked, it could easily be changed. I hope you feel inspired to make different areas in your life more of your own. Have a great week and I will see you next week with another tip! Earlier this week I shared that you should be printing out your pictures! I wanted to talk more about the Polaroid printer that I use. I got mine as a gift from B when I was in college and I 'll be honest, I didn't use it a ton when I first got it. I think I was scared I would mess it up when I inserted new film.... I know it sounds silly. Now that I have used it more, it is super easy to use and I love that I can select which picture I would like to print. That was one thing about an actual polaroid camera that I was nervous about. The film is kind of expensive and I didn't want to waste my money on pictures where I'm blinking. I blink a lot, so I that was a genuine fear, that I would take only pictures with my eyes closed. This printer is the best and I highly recommend it if you want to have some polaroid pictures printed! Here's a picture I printed off for my photo album! Our house was almost done here! Polaroid Photo Printer (Newer version of what I have)
I LOVE taking pictures! I like documenting a special time and being able to look back on it. Even though I have over 5,000 pictures on my phone, I have been the worst about actually printing them out.... So this year I decided it was time to print out some of those pictures and find a way to display them in my home or have them out where others can see them. I have a polaroid printer and I decided this was the best way to print out some of my pictures and put them in a little album to leave out in our living room. I love that I chose to do this and I wish I would have done it sooner. I do still have a lot of photos that need to be printed out in 4x6 to save and look back on, but we've all got to start somewhere, right? So today, my tip is to print the pictures! You'll be so glad that you did! Here we are on our first anniversary at the corn maze!
I definitely printed this one out! Mini Polaroid Photo Album Polaroid Photo Printer (Newer version of what I have) Hello friends!
I decided it was time to share my skin care routine with you! I’ll be honest, I did not have a routine for my skin except a few months in college. I tried out Rodan and Fields because I have rosacea on my face and I needed some help. But I’ll be honest, four steps in the morning and night was just a little too much for me. Back in July, one of my dear friends from college invited me to her online Beautycounter party. Of course I wanted to support her, because she was becoming a consultant, but I didn’t really know where to start. Luckily, they have a quiz and my friend helped suggest products for me that I would use. Plus let’s get real, I’m not getting any younger, so I probably needed a skincare routine. Also Beautycounter is a clean, company. That means that their products are safe and non-toxic, yay! I got the products in and started using them. Trying to get into a routine when you haven’t had one can be a little overwhelming, but I adjusted. It just gets added on to the morning and nightly brushing and flossing time. Here we are five months in and I LOVE how my face feels and looks. My face is sooo soft and I don’t feel like I have redness like before. You might look at the price tag and say, ouch! That’s a little pricey Kelly. I do realize that the initial price might scare you, but if you are using these products for 6 months to a year, they are very affordable. I want to say I spent around $170 the first order I placed. I am still using all of the products that I have initially ordered and there’s at least half or more left. That is well worth the price to me. I also became a Band of Beauty member. What’s that? I paid $29 for the year and I received two gifts, charcoal facial mask and the overnight resurfacing peel (this stuff is magic!) Being a member, I get free shipping on any order over $100, which isn’t hard to do, and you get 10% credit each time that you purchase. You can use that credit toward future purchases. You can’t beat that!!! Plus, you can save 10% off of your first order! Just by signing up on their page! I haven’t tried out all of the products, but what I have, I love. I don’t really wear makeup, so I have not tried out any of that, but I think I might try out a gloss soon! So what did I originally order?
I use the charcoal mask every week or every other week. Only takes about 10-15 minutes. So what else have I tried that I love? What’s on my wish list?
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Maybe it is time for you to think about a skincare routine. Like I said before, we aren’t getting any younger! If you would like to take the skincare quiz to see where you might need to start, you can do that here! If you want to shop Beautycounter, check it out! I think you’ll love whatever you decide to try! |
