Happy Tuesday! Today's tip is pretty simple, make things your own. One of my goals for 2021 is to make our house more of a home. When I say that, I want to make our space feel cozy and have finishes that I love. I'm not saying this has to cost a ton of money or all be done at once. Deciding to do one small project to improve your space is a win for me! My goal is to rework some of the most loved areas in my home to reflect me.
To start off, I decided to change the handle pulls in the kitchen. I really love the change! I have three little projects that I want to complete in the kitchen just to make it a little more me! I started off with a project that if I didn't love how it looked, it could easily be changed. I hope you feel inspired to make different areas in your life more of your own. Have a great week and I will see you next week with another tip!

I LOVE taking pictures! I like documenting a special time and being able to look back on it. Even though I have over 5,000 pictures on my phone, I have been the worst about actually printing them out.... So this year I decided it was time to print out some of those pictures and find a way to display them in my home or have them out where others can see them. I have a polaroid printer and I decided this was the best way to print out some of my pictures and put them in a little album to leave out in our living room. I love that I chose to do this and I wish I would have done it sooner. I do still have a lot of photos that need to be printed out in 4x6 to save and look back on, but we've all got to start somewhere, right? So today, my tip is to print the pictures! You'll be so glad that you did! Here we are on our first anniversary at the corn maze!
I definitely printed this one out! Mini Polaroid Photo Album Polaroid Photo Printer (Newer version of what I have) Happy Tuesday!
Today I am sharing this seat warmer. It is the best for those who don't have heated seats. It plugs into your cigarette lighter in the car, it has a controller to make the seat hotter or less warm, and it's right at $40 and is great to warm you up! You can even buy two and plug them in at the same time! I bought this last year and it was a total gamechanger. I pulled it back out in October and I run it usually to and from work. I don't think you can go wrong if you've always wanted a heated seat but your vehicle didn't come with it. See you back next week for another Tuesday Tip! Heated Seat Cushion Happy Tuesday friends!
Today is the first day of December, whatttttt? This year has flown by! Today I am talking about gift wrapping. I know some of you have already wrapped your gifts, but I hope this idea might help those who haven't! We know there are a few ways to wrap gifts, but I think that making them look pretty under the tree is important and we want to make sure we know who's gift is who's. I always buy the cheap pack of stickers at the store that have the to and from lines that you just stick on your package and they always have some winter scene on them. They're cheap and work great but most of the time they do not match your wrapping paper. I've started to stick them on the back or the bottom of the gift. I know it sounds simple, but it really elevates the look of your gifts under the tree. I think it is also fun to add some ribbon to gifts. It gives the person something else to open and I love curling ribbon on the packages. I hope you guys enjoyed this tip! I'll be back to share another next week! Happy Tuesday!
Today's tip is to put your phone down and enjoy that quality time with your family! This week we are celebrating Thanksgiving. Even though this year has had its challenges, we still have so much to be thankful for. This Thanksgiving you might not be gathering like normal, but it's important to be present. Everyone is not going to be gathered around the table every year, sometimes we take that for granted. Your phone can wait. Enjoy the time you have with your family. They're important. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and eat all of the mashed potatoes and dessert that you can! I will be back next week with another Tuesday Tip! Today's Tip is to drink your water!
I feel like it's easy to get swept up and forget to drink water throughout the day. I'm no doctor, so I can't say how much water you should be drinking, but I do think it is important. When I don't drink enough water through the day I end up having headaches and feeling terrible when I get home. I've found that if I put some fruit, even a lemon into my water, I end up drinking more through out the day. I don't put a ton of fruit in my water, but just enough to give it some flavor. I know this is a simple tip, but it is so important to stay hydrated! Next week I will be back with another fun tip! Happy Tuesday! This week's Tuesday Tip is to buy yourself a small rice cooker!
I got this little rice cooker from my aunt when I was in college. Little did I know, this little contraption is the best thing for making smaller portions of food easily. I usually make Mac and cheese in the rice cooker but you can make soup, veggies, desserts, and of course, rice! It might not be the best portion for a big family, but for two this works great to make a side dish! Or you can make the perfect amount of Mac and cheese for yourself, either way, buy yourself one of these little contraptions. I love mine! For a while now I have been sharing a Tuesday Tip on my Instagram, but I haven't been sharing it here! I usually share a piece of advice, a product that I am loving, and really anything in between. I feel like this is a fun place for me to share a little more about myself and connect and ask questions. Today's Tuesday Tip should probably be something about voting, but I hope that you've already done that! This year I early voted, and it was great I highly recommend. Today, I'm telling you to get lunch with that friend that you haven't seen since the virus. Reach out to the friend that is going through a rough patch or that you simply haven't talked to in a while. Call or visit your grandma. You really need to visit your grandma. Whoever it is that you haven't talked to in a while, reach out. You might feel rejected, they might not ever text you back.... and that's okay. I have been there. Just try. It might be the best thing for you and you might reconnect or catch up with someone and it will make all the difference. I think in this time of social distancing we have been clinging tighter to the people right here around us, but we have been neglecting those that we don't always see or talk to. I think part of this can be blamed on the virus, but it's also part of growing up and growing apart. You choose who you want in your life and at what capacity. People come and go in the different seasons of life, and that is okay. It happens to all of us. Sometimes the hard part is accepting that, and moving forward. So today my tip is: just try. I caught up with one of my besties from college! She might live two hours away, but we had the best time catching up and seeing each other! I can't wait to do it again soon!
